It's been a long while since the story section last had any attention. A while back, I gave up on the idea of ever finishing my Star Wars stories, so instead have typed out a rough outline as to what may have happened during the rest of the saga. I've also expanded the names & characters section with images where possible.
Did some work behind the scenes of the game blog page so that the game filters now work much better.
A couple of months back I found loads of old notes about all the old Epic Space Marine games we played, starting from back when I was in high school. I thought it would be a good idea to type them all up as best I could, and upload them all. While I was at it, I also converted the Epic-S and 40K battle reports from their PDF state to HTML, and they can be found on the Warhammer 40K page.
This is where you can read any of my irregular wafflings about tabletop gaming.
So today I've managed to do something I've never done before in over 20 years of wargaming, and that is completely finish painting an entire army. It's no secret I hate painting, and I've had several large breaks from the hobby, but it's always bothered me that I'd never got at least one of my full armies done.
The only real things I can say I've finished over the years are several Blood Bowl teams, and two of the four forces that make up my 6mm Chaos army. But with the completion of these vehicles, my 28mm Space Marines are done, never to be added to again, hopefully.
I decided to alter the stupid drop pod tiger pattern I tried a few years back as it really sucked. I also rescued my old metal dreadnought from the loft, updated its paint and re-based it to make it more closely match the newer plastic one.
They're very simple, but overall I'm happy. It's just a shame that GW's rules have put us off the game so much, and we're struggling to find time or motivation to keep working on our own rules. I'm still hoping that will change sooner rather than later.
