It's been a long while since the story section last had any attention. A while back, I gave up on the idea of ever finishing my Star Wars stories, so instead have typed out a rough outline as to what may have happened during the rest of the saga. I've also expanded the names & characters section with images where possible.
Did some work behind the scenes of the game blog page so that the game filters now work much better.
A couple of months back I found loads of old notes about all the old Epic Space Marine games we played, starting from back when I was in high school. I thought it would be a good idea to type them all up as best I could, and upload them all. While I was at it, I also converted the Epic-S and 40K battle reports from their PDF state to HTML, and they can be found on the Warhammer 40K page.
This is where you can read any of my irregular wafflings about computer gaming. The whole point of this blog is to help motivate me to properly finish games, whether they be recent ones or older ones I played when I was younger that I never managed to beat.
Books n shite
I don't keep my games in their original boxes as I don't have the space. I just dump the discs in a DVD storage box. This does mean though that all my instruction books get thrown in to a box in the loft. For some reason I just got it down to give it a bit of a sort out. There's a whole lot of crap in there, and I've still got books to games I threw away a long time ago, such as Grand Prix 2 and Space Crusade. I really wish I hadn't thrown them out now though, with the advent of DOSBox and such. I thought I'd also binned the first Dark Forces, but luckily that's still hanging around. Never managed to finish that, so maybe will give that a bash at some point.
Not really done much with the Amiga emulator since I got it working, so have been looking at using that again. As I've just been reminded of my foolishness concerning my PC Space Crusade, that might be one I get working on the emulator. Also, I've had a bit of a hankering to play Dune 2 again. Back in the day, I got to the last level with the Harkonnen but couldn't beat it. Too many enemy missiles man. I'd rather have the PC version mind, as it sounds better all round, but I highly doubt it's still available anywhere. Maybe GOG can get it...
